Most of you are either in full-time ministry or are serious about serving the Lord in any number of other ways.
In the midst of that good desire there are obstacles and weeds:
→Busyness
→ False or Mixed motives
→ Fear of what others might think
→ Scarcity mentality
→ Other stuff: sometimes serious, sometimes stupid, sometimes sinful
So attending to the one person in the Scriptures that Jesus declares had “done a beautiful thing” for him just might be fruitful.
This might be especially important for those of us who are spending hours planning Easter weekend events that (I’m pretty sure) we all want the Lord to delight in.
Welcome to March’s Greenhouse Retreat: Doing Beautiful Things.
Three easy steps:
Access and print out the free retreat materials (printing is optional but recommended).
Block off 4-6 hours sometime in the next few weeks OR simply use the material in shorter chunks as a daily devotional guide.
Most importantly, show up and allow Jesus to free you to do beautiful things.

This month’s retreat is late, so I’m only doing a “For Everyone” version. But it’s all about serving so there’s easy application for everyone. Click here for this months’s free Doing Beautiful Things for Everyone.
Below is one thread from the retreat guide to get you started down this road. Enjoy!
Greenhouse Retreats: helping you to create conditions ideal for long-term fruitfulness.
Happy flourishing, y’all,

Here’s one sample thread of reflection questions designed to free you to do beautiful things for Jesus—take a couple of minutes over lunch today to sit with these questions:
In Matthew 26:6-13, a woman comes in with her alabaster jar of very expensive perfume and she pours it on Jesus’s head.
Anointing an honored guest wasn’t uncommon at the time, but the other gospel accounts say that the perfume is “nard” which was used for burials and would have been an extravagant act.
This act of devotion is costly for the woman in many ways, financially being just one of them. What are the other things she is risking or making herself vulnerable to as she does this? List as many as you can think of.Looking over the various ways this act was costly for this woman, which one(s) would be hardest for you to do? Why is that?
If you’re willing to do this, acknowledge and offer that resistance to the Lord and then be silent and see what he might say to you about it. Write down anything that he says to you.
