We’ve all been in the place of “not enough.”
→Not enough time.
→Not enough money.
→Not enough support or opportunities or help.
Sometimes, it’s more personal: “I’m not enough.”
→ I’m not smart enough.
→I’m not strong enough.
→I’m not a good enough boss/employee/colleague/friend/mom/dad.
“Not enough” is the mantra for scarcity. And scarcity is reality.
Sometimes, there’s not enough time/money/support. And sometimes I’m not smart enough/strong enough/good enough.
Scarcity is reality. And usually when you live in line with reality, it’s good for you.
But here’s what's weird about scarcity: scarcity mentality is terrible for you.
Scarcity mentality is locked into the very real “not enoughness” of this world.
And this what it does to you:
→Anxious
→Fearful
→Hoarding
→Resentful
→Jealous
→Angry
→Aggressive
→and/or “I give up”
So:
→Scarcity is reality.
→Usually living in line with reality is great for you and (everyone around you).
→But scarcity mentality is soul-sucking and terrible for you.
→Conclusion: you weren’t made for scarcity.
This month we’re going to allow the Lord to speak into the voices of scarcity in your head and replace them with his extravagant riches of grace and mercy.
